Rape Crisis North East provides a specialised professional counselling, advocacy and support service to all survivors of rape and sexual abuse in the North East region of Ireland which include Louth, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan. Based in Dundalk and with an outreach service in Drogheda and Castleblayney, supports available include a freephone confidential helpline support, advocacy, information, educational outreach, accompaniment to the courts, medical services and Gardaí, face to face counselling and crisis intervention. Our Centre is currently expanding in line with demand but we now find ourselves in the position of not having sufficient space for our staff or our clients. We need to purchase a dedicated building to expand our service and provide a safe nurturing space that will be welcoming, confidential, safe and supportive for all our clients. All fundraising initiatives are currently dedicated to a premises mortgage for RCNE in Dundalk.
